Pakhi was watching him who was sleeping hugging her stomach, she thinks ,"Main nahi janti maine sahi kiya ya nahi. Lekin main ab wo purani Pakhi banke nahi reh sakti iss ghar mein. Mujhe apne bache ke liye majbot banana hoga. "

(I didn't know I did right or wrong. But, I can't stay as old Pakhi in this house. I have to become strong for my child.)

Tears started gathering in her eyes, she removed his hand slowly and said,"Aapne jo mere saath kiya uske liye maaf karna bahut muskil hai. Main aapke saath sirf apne bache ke liye reh rhi hu. Aap mere bache ko ek acha bhavisya de skte hai." Taking a deep breath, she turned to the other side. Abhinav opened his eyes and looked at her back painfully, he thinks,"Mujhe maaf kar de, Pakhi. Main janta hu main mafi ke layak nahi hu. Lekin main puri koshsis karunga tu dobara mujpe bharosa kare."

One week passed, and she was enjoying the care shown by Abhinav. He makes sure, she eats food in front of him. He took her for the walk in the morning and evening. He makes sure she eats medicine on time. He fulfilled all her cravings. This is what she always wanted.

Pakhi walked inside the kitchen, seeing her, Abhinav's mother said,"Aage se mere kitchen mein aane ki jarurat nahi hai. Ganda kar diya mera kitchen apne gande pair rakh kar."

Abhinav angrily toward his mother and shouted, "Maa, maine kitne baar aapse kaha hai meri biwi se dur rahiye. Aapko ek choti si baat samaj nahi aati." He picked her and walked to their room, he placed her on the bed and said covering her,"Main tere liye juice la raha hu. Aur tu chinta mat kar, main hu tere pass."

After saying this, he walked outside of the room. Pakhi was thinking about the time, when she told about her problem and he ignored her. She wiped her tears and said, putting a hand on her belly,"Aapke Papa kitna badal gye hai." (See, your papa has changed so much)

She paused and said worriedly,"Lekin kya wo sach mein badal gye hai ya ye sab isliye hai kyuki aap mere pet mein hai."

(Is he change or doing all this because you are in my stomach)

Shrugging all negative thoughts, she walked toward the balcony. She heard his worried voice,"Kitni baar kaha hai bahar bina shawl ke maat jaya kar. Thand lag jayigi."

(How many times I have told, don't go outside without shawl. You will get sick)

He covered her with shawl and hugged her from back, feeling uncomfortable, she came out of his hold and said,"Mujhe bhuk lagi hai."

(I am hungry)

He nodded and brought food for her. She was eating while he was watching her silently with a sad face. He was trying his best, but she was not ready to forgive him. She didn't say anything, but he knows, she is still uncomfortable with him.

One week passed, Abhinav noticed Pakhi was worried about something. He tried to talk, but she changed the topic or assured him that there was nothing to worry about.

He took her outside near river side. He spread the sheet and made her sit on the sheet. He said,"Aaj hum pura din yahi rahenge. Doctor ne kaha ye tere liye acha hai."

(Today, we will spend the whole day here. The doctor told me, it's good for your health.)

His gaze fell on Pakhi's sore leg, he picked up the oil and tried to touch her feet but she stopped him and said,"Ye kya kar rahe hai aap. Pati pair ko haath nahi lagate."

Abhinav ignored her resistance, and started rubbing her feet. She heard him,"Main janta hu, tu sochti hogi main ek gussel aur pathar dil insaan hu. Par vishwas kar, main aisa nahi tha. Mitali ke dhoke ne mujhe badal diya. Lekin main dobara wo Abhinav banana chahta hu, jo sabki fikr krta tha. Main purana Abhinav banana chahta hu, tere aur apne biwi ke liye."

(I know you think I am an angry and cold-hearted man. But, trust me I was not like this before. Mitali betrayal changed me, but I wanted to become old Abhinav who was loving and caring. I wanted to become old Abhinav for you and my wife.)

Pakhi was watching him with teary eyes, he continued," Main chahta hu, humara bacha bilkul tere jaisa ho. Shant, ache dil ka, dusre ki fikr krne wala aur tere jaisa bhola."

(I wanted our child to become like you. Sweet, innocent and caring like you)

Not able to control, she burst into tears and said,"Main ab wo pehli wali bholi Pakhi nahi rahi. Main badal gyi, main ab ek chalak Pakhi ban gayi jo jhoot bolti hai." Saying this she told him the truth about the kitchen incident.

"Main jhoot nahi bolna chahti thi, lekin main unhe batana chahti thi ki ab wo purani Pakhi nahi hu. Main wo Pakhi nahi hu jo saare atyachar chupchap sahe."

Wiping her tears, he said softly,"Kyuki mujhe pta hai ye nayi Pakhi meri vajah se bani hai. Kahin na Kahin main zimedar hu iske liye. Par mujhe vishwas tha, tu dobara meri purani wali bholi bhali masoom Pakhi ban jayigi. Aur rahi baat, tera saath dene ki, Pati hu main tera, ye mera farz hai. Main vada karta hu, humesha tera saath duga chahe kuch bhi ho jaye."

They were looking at each other with teary eyes, Abhinav slowly started leaning toward her lips, but she turned her face and said,"Bhuk lagi hai mujhe." (I am hungry)

He nodded and gave her a sandwich and juice. They spend good time there.
